More information, More than 100-120 years , One senior Namboothiripad from Azhakathu Mana(Situated near Periyar River and Chalakudy) is the Thanthri of this temple,They comes here only very important temple functions or yearly festival, Since It is their hereditary right, Dewasam Board can't change them.BUT Melsanthi or Cheif Priest (More than 15 years before Krishan Embrathiri and his son),(and his house still there,is situated near the north east side of temple and north of temple pond) is appointed by Cochin dewasam board, and Melsanthi or chief priest will change every 2-3 year. What you saw in this google earth photo is very old one, now temple has boundary wall, Outtu Pura, Kodi Maram, stage for programmes, Al thara( Baniyan tree),Devasam Board Office, simply the whole temple is renovated now.Now more pilgrimmes also coming for darshan.

this temple is with Cochin Dewasam Board (nearly two decades),Festivals managed by local committee of devotees,Krishnan Embrathiri and his family no more related with temple last many many years,Temple developed in a very big way now, with lord's help,One more mistake Idol is not saligramam it is pure ordinary rock , touching both ends of sreekovil,Regarding Mappila clan ,In chentrappinni temple surrounded by hindus, here Hindus always was and is in upper hand.
